Zymer Bytyqi is
a Norwegian footballer born in Belgium of Kosovar descent. He plays for
Norwegian Club Sandnes Ulf on loan from Red Bull Salzburg. A 16-year-old boy,
Zymer has proven a lot to those who have seen him play. A week long trial when
he was 15 at Newcastle after impressing the club’s scouts shows where the
future of this boy lies. He rejected the opportunity to play at Newcastle, as
he felt that in order to improve his skills he should be in an environment that
he is more comfortable with. Bytyqi made his debut for Sandnes at the age of 15
years and 261 days. This made him the youngest player to play in Norway’s top
league.
Bytyqi is a player
with raw talent, and football seems to come naturally to him. His movement,
dribbling and ability to beat defenders is one thing that makes this 16-year-old
special. Although we have not seen much of him, the raw talent he possesses
shows that he could be a star in the future. With great ball control, first
touch and the occasional show of skills Bytyqi is slowly graduating to become a
more matured player and soon we could see him playing in Europe’s biggest club
competitions with Salzburg. The boy has some way to go, only 16, but his future
looks bright. I for one cannot wait to
see him play more and develop; it will be a joy to watch him play.
